主人是位布衣老者，指尖捻起茶匙的动作轻如拂尘。他总说茶有性情，需知时节、懂水土，更要惜缘。案上的茶器各有故事：粗陶盖碗来自景德镇的老匠人，青瓷公道杯是旅途中偶然所得，连竹制茶则都透着经年摩挲的温润。

三五茶客围坐，看热水注入时茶叶舒展的姿态，听壶盖轻响如自然私语。从明前茶的鲜爽聊到岩茶的岩骨花香，话题随茶汤渐浓，最后都化作唇边回甘。

茶过三巡，有人临窗写几笔书法，有人静静翻着茶经，老者则在茶案前重新布席。原来品茶从不是目的，而是借一片叶子的滋味，寻回生活本该有的从容与专注。
　　今天回家，奇怪的是竟然没人。问邻居才知道都到田里栽秧去了。连大门对我这个久不回家的人都很漠然的样子——一把铁将军守着。甚至连平时在家养病的父亲和小侄儿也不见。只有几只鸡在那悠闲的踱步。忙是个什么字眼，我想农村人似乎没有多少具体而鲜明的解释，因为一年到头都在忙乎着。站在那不知该往哪去，每次回家碰到农忙，我要插手帮上一把，第一个出来阻止的就是父亲，在父亲的眼里我是捏笔杆子的，不能握锄把子，也不会握锄把。我要坚持干的话，父亲就会给我讲我刚刚从河南会云南时的一件事。
