　　应该值得骄傲的是，在那个山沟沟里的小乡镇上，我们家还是当时独一无二的双职工家庭呢，那时双职工家庭，真可以称得上是凤毛麟角。父亲是这个小乡镇的中学校长，母亲在小学里教书。父亲知道政策要活了，便冒出了开荒种地的想法。记得那是横断山脉里初春季节，云贵高原上的阳光，懒洋洋地将群山浸染得格外的艳丽和夺目，苏醒过来的树木们生机昂然。星期天，父亲突然说：“阿文。我俩父子上山里去，找块荒地。”我知道这是父亲早就预谋好的，只是苦于没有机会实现而已。因为一方面的确吃长饭的我们，需要补充粮食；另一方面他看到周围的孩子都出生在农村，只有我们吃皇粮，在那里娇贵地供着，生怕我们“四体不勤，五谷不分。”如果有块荒地，既可以解决我们眼前的困难，还能消除我们的傲气，锻炼我们的意志，培养我们的自立意识，这真是双赢的大好事啊！这些深邃道理，只有现在回想起来，才领悟出父亲当时的真实意图的。可那时开荒种地苦不住的时候，心里还暗暗责怪父亲的多事和残忍。
